Südwind – Austria – Project Coordinator

Südwind is an Austrian development-political NGO and has been committed to sustainable global development, human rights and fair working conditions in the global South since 1979. The main work of Südwind consists of educational work in and outside schools, campaigns and information work.

Südwind informs in Austria about international development-related issues and critically questions policies that maintain or increase inequality, ostracize the socially powerless, and breaches basic human rights. Südwind is committed to informing the public on issues that tend to get neglected or supressed.
Südwind questions political practices that are inconsistent with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Südwind develops solutions, procedure alternatives, and visions for global justice through dialogue with partners from civil society and developing countries.

Focus topics are: fairer globalization, SDGs and Global Citizenship Education, fair trade, fair working conditions, fairer economic system, climate justice as well as migration.

Kainotomia – Greece

KAINOTOMIA is a certified, under the Greek Legislation, Vocational Education and Training Institution that was founded in 2013 by a group of people with expertise and a lifelong commitment to the subject of learning. The organization modern facilities are designed in compliance with the disabled people’s accessibility, while there are 3 training rooms with total capacity of 90 trainees.

The main target groups are the employed/unemployed people, entrepreneurs, educators and trainers, students of higher education, and youth including those coming from vulnerable social groups, for the development of professional and entrepreneurial opportunities and their integration into the labour market and society. We provide career guidance and counselling with regional stakeholder networks and according to individual needs. KAINOTOMIA’s goal is the support of trainees aiming to introduce new learning and teaching methodologies approaches, especially those delivering key competences and basic skills, language skills, and focusing on the use of ICT, but also the upscaling of the quality of education in professionalization of trainers. Finally, provides trainees´ with new forms of flexible learning methods, virtual mobility, open educational resources, and better exploitation of the ICT potential. In 2021, KAINOTOMIA was selected as the only Youth Eurodesk multiplier in Thessaly, Greece, giving the opportunity to the organization to expand its European impact even more.

The company employs 10 permanent staff (monthly paid employees), works with 10 external partners (financial and technical issues, marketing), and collaborates with approximately 15 trainers per year.

Crossing Borders (CB) – Denmark

Crossing Borders (CB) is a non-profit funded in 1999 whose vision is a world in peace with itself in which diversity is celebrated. The organization’s mission is to create spaces for dialogue to enable people with different backgrounds to learn to live together on equal terms. Considering young people as agents of change, we provide platforms for young people and youth workers to cross-fertilize ideas and form global associations, networks, and communities worldwide. We enable youth to share their ideas in a learning environment where all participants are encouraged to grow and learn from one another.

Focusing on community-building, empowerment and collective actions to tackle global issues and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, CB’s work is divided into four programmes: School workshops, international projects, volunteer programme ,“Food for Thought” storytelling events. CB collaborates with partners who work toward the same goals including municipalities, high schools, universities, international civil society organizations, public institutions, and international donors.

Centre For Education and Entrepreneurship Support (CWEP) – Poland

Centre For Education and Entrepreneurship Support (CWEP) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2004 by a group of entrepreneurs, teachers and social activists from Rzeszów, Poland. CWEP cooperates with businesses and educational institutions. The mission of CWEP is to increase the quality of education training at all levels and in all its forms, as well as to promote entrepreneurship in order to foster integration of any social group, regardless of their gender, age or ethnic origin. Particularly, the aims are to improve accessibility, quality and efficiency of education of all people, to promote and contribute to adult education, life-long learning, e-learning and the usage of new technologies in education and entrepreneurship. The Association works with many partners from Europe in order to strengthen the economic position of enterprises and provides on-line platforms for companies.

Danube – 1245 – Serbia

The Association “Danube 1245” is a non-profit, non-governmental civil society organization founded in 2015.

The Association is an active local actor in supporting citizens’ initiatives related to sustainable development of the local community and a reliable partner in formulation and realization of regional development initiatives. Basic tools used in performing of this mission are citizens’ participation tools, regional cooperation and project based approach.

The Association is a local actor involved in the development of democracy and participatory decision making on local level and addresses local challenges by formulating and advocating citizens’ activism supporting their active role in the life of the community. The Association establishes partnerships and networks with other local actors and municipal administration.

The Association’s activities are focused on:

  • regional cooperation and joint activities towards regional and local sustainable development;
  • protection and valorization of local natural and cultural heritage, development of knowledge in the local community based on non-formal education and training of citizens.

Danube 1245 has a membership of 38 who are actively involved in project activities depending on their competencies and the requirements of different projects. We are also continuously involving high school and university students in the work of our association creating opportunities for their knowledge and skills development as well as volunteering practice.

MECB Ltd is a Malta based Excellence Consulting Bureau, dedicated to driving excellence and innovation support through the provision of relevant, multidisciplinary, high-quality (a)  technical consulting services (b) research and training services as well as (c) EU project partnering opportunities.
